Morning Quotes Blessings in life

Excessive social media is damaging our mental health. Especially, spending too much morning time in Instagram, Twitter and Facebook is detrimental to our mental health and overall well being.

As human beings, we love to communicate with others and forge personal connections with one another. However, it can be hard for us to do so when we’re glued more to the digital society. Spending too much time in Instagram, Twitter and Facebook, we miss the real-society and real aspects of Nature and the experiences in the world.

While social media applications can have their benefits, using them too frequently can make you feel increasingly unhappy and isolated from the society in the long run.

Instead of spending morning time in social media, just a walk in the garden or a stroll by the beach on a sunny morning can awaken the innermost feelings of happiness and peace. Research has shown that people who practice forest bathing have optimum nervous system functions, well-balanced heart conditions, and reduced bowel disorders. Sri Amit Ray said: “Looking beauty in the world, is the first step of purifying the mind.”

Social media has provided a means for easy-access entertainment and we are far more easily get distracted by the flow of the information and our attention become fragmented. These fragmented attention does not give the attention and power to think higher things. Sri Amit Ray Said: “ When your inner world is fragmented, the outer world is broken. When your inner world is flowery and unbroken, the outer world is healed by your presence.”

Emotional Stability

Emotional stability is a necessary trait for happy life. It means you can withstand difficult situations, handle adversity, and remain productive and capable throughout. Some people get to a certain point in their lives when they realize that they are not as emotionally stable as they would like to be. Researchers found that high levels of social media interactions people often feel emotional instability.

Better Sleep

Social media improves people’s self-esteem, while obsessively checking your media feeds just before bed could be contributing towards poor quality of sleep. In general, there’s a strong correlation between social media use and disturbed sleep. In other words, the more you use social media, the more likely you are to experience poor sleep.

Final Thoughts:

Social media could be a good resource and have positive effects on well-being. But, users should use them judicially. Social media generates both beneficial and adverse feelings: users may be exposed to comments from a diversity of distinct individuals which often causes depression.

People should be aware that most people are presenting a biased version of the reality on social media. Too much addiction to social media is detrimental to both physical and mental health.
